Hi! I am Gea, an experienced Vinyasa Yoga (E-RYT500, E-RYT200) and Prenatal Yoga (RPYT90) teacher and trainer based in London and available worldwide. I offer foundational (200h) and Prenatal (90h) Yoga teacher trainings, Yoga & meditation retreats, on-demand courses, workshops, and private and corporate Yoga classes.
Born and raised in Croatia, my first encounter with yoga was through my mother, also an experienced yoga teacher. After enrolling in Yoga school, I graduated from my teacher training back in 2015. Right after graduation and under the guidance of my teacher Nina Vukas, I started to teach full time at her Sangha Yoga studio in Zagreb. After a while, I returned to my hometown to teach classes and to manage our family Zanshin Yoga studio.
In 2018, life brought me to Seattle, and ever since, it has been a blossoming period of my personal growth as a student and a teacher of yoga. In Seattle, I worked as a full-time yoga teacher in some of the most respected studios in the city. To my greatest joy, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Mindfulness Section at the University of Washington, helping students and the faculty staff to explore their potential through yoga, meditation, and breathwork. During my time in the United States, I have taught private, studio and corporate yoga classes, offering mostly Vinyasa Flow and Restorative Yoga. I have had the great honor to meet Greta Hill, my other most inspiring teacher, with whom I’ve engaged in practice and studies (Rasa Yoga advanced training).
In 2020 I moved to London with my family, and became a mother to Vito. With yoga, I'm mostly focused on teacher trainings, workshops, retreats and online offerings through my online learning platform. I'm a part of the Spanda Institute faculty as a Program Director for Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, lead teacher on 200h Yoga teacher trainings, and a teacher and mentor for the advanced 300h teacher training. In 2023 I opened the SOMA Yoga studio in Wandsworth where you can find me every day building our lovely Yoga community in London.
I have a great interest in Tantric philosophy, functional alignment, intelligent sequencing, mantras, mudras, and frankly - everything that yoga is. My classes are a soulful blend of everything mentioned above, and I am always adjusting the practice to one’s body, mind, and soul, following one's external and internal cycles and shifts. Let's meet on the mat!
